Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they understand but still struggle to change. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, and life transitions. NEAR Counseling and Wellness integrates psychotherapy with somatic awareness and mindfulness-based practices.
Our experiences happen in both the mind and the body. Over time, we often learn to live mainly in our heads, and the connection to the body can become less familiar.
Somatic work gently guides you back to this connection. This approach can support increased awareness of patterns, emotional regulation, and more adaptive ways of responding to stress.
At NEAR, the work integrates psychological insight and body awareness, recognizing that lasting change often happens when both the mind and body are supported together.
