My work is grounded in the understanding that our experiences are held in both the mind and the body. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, often knowing what should help, but still struggling to create lasting change.
My approach integrates psychotherapy, somatic awareness, and mindfulness-based practices. This means we explore what’s happening through conversation while also working with how it shows up in the body to support regulation.
For over two decades, I’ve studied and practiced yoga, exploring both its physical and philosophical foundations. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher currently training as a yoga therapist. I also have training in massage therapy and hold a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. This foundation continues to shape how I work, offering a deeper understanding of the body’s systems and the connection between physical and emotional experience.
I hold a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University. This has given me a deeper understanding of human development and the ways early experiences shape emotional regulation, identity, and relationships. I began my counseling work as a school counselor supporting neurodivergent students, which strengthened my ability to provide attuned, developmentally responsive care. Through this work, I often supported the development of interoceptive awareness (noticing and understanding internal body signals), helping students connect their physical experiences with their emotions.
Over time, I felt called toward clinical work and transitioned into private practice, where I now focus on working more closely with individuals navigating anxiety, shame, nervous system overwhelm, and the impact of developmental and relational experiences. To support this work, I am currently completing advanced training in trauma-focused care.
As a licensed massage therapist and yoga therapist, I bring a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology, nervous system regulation, and mindfulness, along with an understanding of how life experiences can manifest in the body. This allows me to skillfully integrate body-based awareness into therapy that is grounded in your unique experience.
I understand how frustrating it can be to intellectually “know” what should help, yet still feel stuck. My role is to help you better understand your patterns, increase flexibility in responding to stress and emotions, and move toward meaningful personal goals in a way that feels manageable and aligned with your life.
A Note on Services & Collaboration
I provide outpatient psychotherapy and integrate somatic (body-based) approaches. If a higher level of care is needed, I will make appropriate referrals to ensure clients receive the care they need. I welcome collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
